A relay baton that packs a punch – especially when it comes to time

From now on, every team will have a relay baton with timekeeping!

In the past, timing for the Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5 x 5 km TEAM Relay was carried out using a timing tag on the back of the first and fifth race numbers. This meant that there was only a start and finish time for the whole relay team, but not for the individual runners. Furthermore, it was not possible to verify whether all sections of the race had actually been completed.

We want to counteract this. Timekeeping complements and reinforces the service standards of this growing event. Even though team spirit remains our top priority, we are also improving the quality for ambitious runners. Because let's be honest, internal challenges with your favourite colleagues or friends can be all the more motivating and a lot of fun.

From now on that means: Five runners, five times, one shared result.
