At the Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5 x 5 km TEAM-Relay, hundreds of volunteers bring heart, humor, and team spirit to ensure everything runs smoothly—from bib pickup to medals. Why do they do it? Because it’s fun, it connects people, and it’s simply unforgettable.

On the second day of the Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5 x 5 km TEAM Relay 2025, we accompanied photographer Tilo Wiedensohler during his work at the relay venue. What a start it was! On the first day of the Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5 x 5k TEAM-Relay Berlin, the Sculpture Park in Berlin’s Tiergarten and the surrounding 5-kilometer route were transformed into the beating heart of the city’s running scene. A total of 1,975 relay teams, each with five runners, set off in perfect early summer weather – creating exactly what this event is all about: movement, togetherness, and an unbeatable team vibe.
